I have been learning the difference between walking away, and running away. When you run away, you are giving up. You are giving in. You're letting the other person get the last word.
When you walk away, you are saying, "I don't need this".
You are leaving the person's hateful words hanging in the air, to come back and haunt them later. You're saying, I am in charge, and I choose to leave. Just things I think about when I'm staring into space.
